Lupine Campground Description
Lupine Campground, located south of Wrightwood, is even more remote than Blue Ridge and Guffy campgrounds. Lupine Campground actually rests below the Blue Ridge, in the Prairie Fork Area. This campground seems nicely protected from the wind and other elements as it is down in a canyon. There are 11 campsites, however none of them allow for RV access and there is no running water available. Near the entrance of Lupine Campground is the trail head for the Fish Fork and Pine Mountain Ridge Trails. There is no fee for this campground other than the display of a National Forest Adventure Pass in the windshield of your vehicle.
Directions to Lupine Campground from Wrightwood
Take Highway 2 westbound from the town of Wrightwood to Inspiration Point. From Inspiration Point, take Blue Ridge Road eastbound past Blue Ridge Campground to the Guffy Campground split. Take the lower road here, which will traverse down the back side of Blue Ridge into Prairie Fork. After a couple of miles on this road, you will approach Lupine Campground (at the end of the road).
