Peavine Campground Description
Peavine Campground is located near Jackson Lake, west of the town of Wrightwood. This campground is located directly on the highway and, like Apple Tree Campground, it has very little privacy. With only 4 campsites and no RV access, Peavine probably isn't the campground you'll need to write home about. On that note, it does have running water, is close to the lake, and does not cost anything other than the display of a National Forest Adventure Pass in the windshield of your vehicle.
Directions to Peavine Campground from Wrightwood
Take Highway 2 westbound from the town of Wrightwood to the Big Pines Area. From here, take Big Pines Highway (downhill) toward Jackson Lake. Peavine Campground will be on your left, before the lake. Don't blink your eyes or you might miss it.
